There is a repeat in the Daily Mirror to the link of Anderlecht midfielder Mbark Boussoufa for £8million. This was covered more fully yesterday: More Villa Transfer Talk + All The Links So Far

The Daily Mail claim that Villa and Manchester City are close to reaching a £28million agreement for the transfer of James Milner. They claim that Milner will sign a five year deal at around £80 000 a week.

They also stir it up a bit saying that MON isn’t pleased with the transfer budget this summer. Not what he and Randy have said but I guess the reporter knows better than the Villa manager and owner?

Also in The Daily Mail, a report saying that Wigan chairman Dave Whelan says anyone wanting striker Hugo Rodallega will have to pay £15million with both Villa and Arsenal apparently interested. He has been linked before, Whelan said: ‘I would say £15million for Rodallega isn’t outrageous. He is a player we do not want to sell and I would love it if he started next season with us, but equally sometimes we have to sell a player like this, we have no choice.’

The Telegraph has a report saying that Gabby Agbonlahor is going nowhere and is definitely not for sale.

Links so far this summer for the striker outward:

Gabby Agbonlahor to Arsenal for around £22million Click Here
Gabby Agbonlahor and Ashley Young to Manchester City for around £45million. Click Here
Gabby Agbonlahor to Spurs for around £22million Click Here

However The Telegraph say, without quotes I must say, claim that Villa have dismissed the latest link to Tottenham with Robbie Keane as a makeweight.

Good, he is still only 23, people forget how young he is and that he isn’t at his peak yet, he has plenty more to come, if he was at the same stage at 26 or 27 I’d say maybe time to sell but not whilst he is still developing and improving. If he can start to bury his one on one chances, he could be a very good striker for us.
