A brand new matchday draw will provide Aston Villa fans with the chance to win cash prizes, while also aiding the club`s work in the local community via the Supporting Our Own initiative.

The inaugural Fifty50 draw took place at half-time during Villa`s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Barnsley at Villa Park on January 20 – with tickets priced at £2 a go. The winner got just over £1000.

At every home match, 50 per cent of the prize pot will go to one lucky winner while the remaining 50 per cent will support the delivery of community projects and activities through the Aston Villa Foundation.

Local charities, voluntary organisations and sports clubs in and around Birmingham are among the worthy causes that receive help through Supporting Our Own, which is the club`s corporate social responsibility strategy.

Launched in September last year, the initiative`s main aim is to enhance and expand the work of the Foundation and the club within the local community.

Supporting Our Own recognises the work of volunteers and community leaders, offers small grants to community groups, and offers assistance to former Aston Villa players.

Sport, health, wellbeing, education and inclusion are the values at the heart of the work that has been carried out by the Aston Villa Foundation since its inception in 2013 – originally under the name of Villa in the Community.

Supporters will have the chance to play their part in ensuring the continued success of the Foundation`s work by purchasing Fifty50 tickets on game day around Villa Park or purchasing online any time if you aren’t attending matches at www.avfc.co.uk/fifty50.

The winner will be announced on the scoreboard at the end of the half-time interval, on the club website and on the Foundation`s social media.

Winning ticket holders should call 0121 327 2299 or email foundation@avfc.co.uk to claim their prize.
