The reporter says that Villa have put a £40million price tag on Christian Benteke to try to fend off interest from Spurs, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

Villa, obviously, desperately want to keep hold of the young talent who scored 19 Premiership goals in his debut season.
This report says that Atletico director general Miguel Angel Gil Marin has had talks with Benteke`s representatives and claims he has had discussions with Villa over a potential summer move.
Sounds about right to me, he SHOULD be staying, he should be building his career here, if he has another great season and then a good world cup, then maybe the world is his oyster, but to look to move after just one season would be plain daft. However, IF someone bid £40m and IF that money, ALL THE MONEY, was re-invested into the team, then to be fair, could you really turn that down? Difficult one because he`d need replacing and replacements of his sort don`t come cheap?!
