Could things be more embarrassing?

Coventry may have to ask Aston Villa for permission to use Villa Park at least once next season if the League reject suggestions to have their first three matches away from home.

Coventry Chairman Mr McGinnity who backed out of legal action against the Gary Mabbutt’s Knee fansite a few short months ago, and even worse, good friends of Mr Ellis said:

‘Villa may be the only option because most of the other Midlands clubs will be starting their season’s on the same day. The Premiership doesn’t start until the week after but whether a club would allow us to play on a fresh new pitch before the first game remains to be seen. There are cost implications to look at and convenience for supporters. It may be that if we get to a situation where we can’t play our first three games away that we may conduct a poll and get the views of the fans.’

How desperate are Coventry to play in a proper stadium again; would they stoop so low to beg us for our stadium for a few hours because they can’t get there on their own?

Biggest question is, would we want them there; would we have time to fumigate the ground before our game?!?!?
