James Nursery has an interview with John Carew in The Mirror where the big man says he loves Villa, the fans, the ground and pretty much everything to do with the mighty claret and blues! He also wishes he’d been able to stay fit for longer this season as he feels he could be looking at being a 20 goal a season striker without the bad luck of being sidelined.

He doesn’t mention being bigger than me and you mind you…!

‘I love it here, I feel it on the pitch’ Adding, ‘If I didn’t love it here you would see that on the pitch. I am really happy. I love the club, the fans, the staff and the group here, who are fantastic. I just want to continue and to do well the whole of next season – and avoid all the injuries which hindered me.’

He says it is a shame that he missed around 20 games but is happy with his goal to game ratio nevertheless and adds he gets great service from Ashley Young and James Milner who he says are ‘two of the best wingers in the league.’

He’s also not given up on the dream of 4th but does concede the gap is large between us and Arsenal now.

The article also has a quote from Gabby Agbonlahor who according to this report was jeered when he was subbed, again I’d argue with that until the cows come home – and as I don’t have any cows living at my home that would be a long time – that the jeering by the few was aimed at the manager for making the change… hey ho, Gabby who could be out for a while with a hamstring said: ‘Even when it happened I wasn’t too fussed about it. I just go out there and play my game. I don’t listen to what the fans say.’
