During the 2022 summer transfer window, Aston Villa again took the opportunity get a number of youngsters out for valuable loan spells to help aid their development and grow their professional experience and Aaron Ramsey earned a second spell away from the club to justify just how highly rated he is within our Academy set up.

The 19-year-old England Under 19 international is obviously following in good footsteps given the growth and development of brother Jacob, who has become a first team fixture under both previous gaffer Dean Smith, and new head coach Steven Gerrard, and in the second half of the 2021/22 campaign, he had a good spell out with local side Cheltenham Town – making 9 starts, 6 substitutes showings, and returning 1 goal.

This August, he reacquainted himself with Smith, making a season long switch out to Norwich City and it’s not unfair to say it took him a few weeks to adjust to the Championship level – but he’s certainly starting to get there and win over the Canaries fan base as they remained unsure in his opening substitute appearances.

Three starts and five substitute showings later, although he’s yet to open his goalscoring account for them, he has now chipped in with two solid assists as he gets used to his new colleagues and the latest came this weekend as they roundly defeated Coventry City in a 3-0 victory.

A nice little assist as well that will remind plenty of his brothers’ style of play.

Long may it continue, as after some doubts, as said, he’s winning them over.
