Could Jack Grealish Gatecrash The World Cup?

I wonder if Gareth Southgate is starting to take a closer look at Jack?

Colin Calderwood wonders if the injury to Jack Grealish might have helped him with the complete rest he had. “He`s certainly come back physically very strong and he`s worked really well at the training ground and he`s reaping the benefits from it.”

He adds, “It`s good to see that honesty and endeavour and that amount of work is getting rewarded.” And when the interviewer mentions the fact that Jack has become a man, muscled up and looks the part, CC agrees: “He looks powerful, as much as he drives and can beat people with his deception and guile on the ball” he is also tracking back and getting stuck in which shows he has developed physically. A part of the game Colin says we`ve not really seen before.

Thoughts of some fans after the Burton Albion Game:

Grealish was stand out man of the match today , a goal, a clear pen denied , hit the bar, fizzed one just past the post, always showing for the ball and then working it forward . I thought he was great again today .

Whatever Jack is he’s certainly the man pulling the strings , The lad is giving it all at last chasing back putting in tackles and looking to play in his teammates at every given opportunity .

Grealish’s work rate was outstanding today – on at least three occasions that I can recall, he tracked back (at some pace) from the Burton half to the edge of our box.

He got on the ball in forward areas as much as our piss poor passing and ball retention would allow, and he was in the box on a number of occasions, not least when he was hacked down and then ludicrously booked for diving.

And I can`t argue with any of them. I think he`s blossomed. He looks like he has the confidence of the manager now, so he has confidence in himself. He`s grown up, he`s muscled up, he has the power and is also knowing the total role he plays includes tracking back and getting stuck in. His shirts are certainly no longer white when he plays. Great to see he has worked so hard on his game and is now starting to really push his career forwards.

Far more in the Jack Grealish Forum Thread… I have just read through it (65 pages, I need to get out more… unbelievably, I`m still single ladies, form an orderly queue)…. I say regularly in there, he`s got the potential, it`s up to him, the few public ‘mishaps` were hardly the sort of thing that should have troubled the papers really (young person having a drink shocker) … so nice to see the Jack the lad or Jack the legend thing I kept saying is coming down on him wanting to be a legend. Fabulous in fact.

I`m reliably informed by those at the club, that he also does a lot of the off the pitch, looking after fans/charity stuff that I think is SO important for players to do. A sign of a genuinely good character. The Fabulous Aston Villa Foundation #SupportingOurOwn
