Davies Wants September Return

Curtis Davies has said he is determined to back fit and raring to go by September.

Speaking on the official site, the defender said:

‘You have to get your head down and work. I’m determined to get back for September.

‘I’ve got to make sure I do everything right. If that means a lot of hard work this summer, that’s fine with me.’

It’s a fantastic attitude from Davies who didn’t have the greatest of starts to his Villa career. Despite most players, fit and injured being on holiday at the moment, he’s also working hard at Bodymoor Heath which shows his desire to return to first team action as soon as possible.

‘I’ve just got a two-week break and a lot of the lads have two month. But I don’t mind. The main thing is for me to get fit and I want to get fit as quickly as possible.’
