Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey says he’d welcome Michael Owen to Aston Villa if rumours are true that the 30-year old is keen on a move to Villa Park.

The Newcastle United striker is expected to leave Tyneside after his contract finishes this summer, following the club’s relegation to the Championship.

Heskey, meanwhile, says he’s keen to wrap things up in style for the national team, who prepare for their final match of the season against Andorra.

Following the 4-0 win at Kazakhstan at the weekend, Fabio Capello’s men have six wins from six.

Rio Ferdinand is out for the hosts, as his persistent calf problem can’t be shaken off. Gareth Barry is suspended and will not be replaced for the game at Wembley, where victory would see England just one win off guaranteeing qualification for South Africa in 2010.
