Stiliyan Petrov has lauded how good Brad Friedel was for us, and he doesn’t believe Shay Given’s age would be any barrier either.
Speaking to the E&S Petrov believes that Given is once of the best goalkeepers in the league and he would be delighted to see him at B6.
Speaking on Brad firstly he said.
‘Brad was a big loss and I was sad to see him go, for his age he showed everybody that it doesn’t matter how old you are.’
Now everybody knows Shay is hardly a spring chicken, but goalkeepers to mature to their best in later life in general.
‘Shay is one of the best keepers in this league and if he comes he will be a great signing for us. He’s got European experience and Premier League experience, so what else do you need?’
