Juan Pablo is looking for a positive result tonight to push Villa back up the league. Villa could go 5th tonight with 3 points from our trip to Bramall Lane, Angel says:

‘Nobody was expecting us to be where we are or to do as well as we have been doing. But when you start doing well and start to get results, then you start setting your sights that little bit higher. We are disappointed that we have not won more games, and if we want to be in the top six or top eight we have to win more games.’

Villa have lost just two games in 16 this season but have picked up too many draws and just five wins.

Angel added before I so rudely interrupted him!

‘Having said that it has been a remarkable season so far. We have been beaten just twice this year in the league, three times in all competitions, which is outstanding. The league is very tight but if we can get a few more results from now until Christmas it will set us up in very good shape for the second half of the season.’

And on Sheffield United he said: ‘Tonight (8pm kick off on Sky Sports 1) is one of those tricky games where anything can happen. They are physical, they are direct, strong and they are going to put us under pressure from the very first minute. But we have to cope with that and compete on the physical side. With the ability we have in the squad we should be able to go out and get a result. But we have to compete and we have to be at our best and be compact as we have been so far.’

‘It is probably a little better for us away from home at the present time because of the way we are playing, but we need to get results at home as well because that is the only way we can make these away results count.’

Come on Angel, tonight is as good as any to get a hattrick!
