According to the Birmingham Mail, Tommy Elphick is out of contract at the end of the season and a decision needs to be made concerning his future.
The defender has had both good and bad times this season and it is clear that there is still some working out to do as to whether he should be with us for next year.
With Kortney Hause and Tyrone Mings coming in on loan in January, he’s probably seen himself fall back down the pecking order, after being recalled from Hull in order to fill in at centre-half.
Certainly, that is indicative of his career here where he has seemingly got going or got a bit of confidence and then something has happened to change that.
Personally, I like him but I do feel as though he is not quite good enough for where we need our players.
Indeed, if we keep Mings and Hause I can’t see him staying but that is far from certain right now.
An interesting few weeks await then.
