Martin Laursen might well be down but the great Dane is certainly not out!

Laursen, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury which required surgery, has told his team mates to do the work and get him to Wembley.

The Villa skipper said:

‘Every footballer dreams of playing at Wembley and I am hoping my team-mates can make it a reality for me over the course of the next few weeks’.

He also added that the medical team are predicting he’ll be out for up to 8 weeks so there is nothing he can do to help the team but said: We’ve got the top four spot in the league to push for and are still in the UEFA Cup plus the FA Cup. To miss out on all three at the present is disappointing for myself.’

Villa face Everton at Goodison Park on the 15th Feb in the 5th round of the FA Cup. The tie is on Setanta with a 2:30pm kick off.
