Vital Villa asked – in an attempt to ignore all the negativity going on at Villa these days! – which player has inspired Villa the most?

The result ended in a dead heat between two Villa Park legends. Arguably our most famous captain Dennis Mortimer and defensive hero Paul McGrath both shared the honour (!) with 39% of the votes.

The remainder was made up by Peter Withe and Andy Gray with 7% of the votes each, David Platt got 5% and Nigel Spink with 3%
