Martin O’Neill says that Randy Lerner will soon be concentrating 100% on Villa as the NFL season comes to an end and Randy’s other team, the Cleveland Browns have failed to qualify for the end of season play offs for the Super Bowl.
O’Neill said: ‘I spoke with Randy Lerner when he was over here last week. There is nothing to report that you wouldn’t already know. He’s keen to do well and for the football club – and I think he will. At this moment, he is doing a lot of commuting but the American football season will soon be over, certainly for the teams not involved in the play-offs, and Cleveland are not going to make those.
‘He will then be able to devote a lot of time over here and that’s his intention.’
O’Neill added: ‘I haven’t handed Randy Lerner a wish list. Santa Claus has got my first list and then I’ll think about the new year after that.’
