The BBC confirmed the deal at exactly 00.09am and correctly so the Official Site had given us the brief statement necessary to say it was out of manager Steve Bruce’s hair until the summer.
The 30 year old former Fulham forward has scored three times for us in 22 appearances so far this year and almost the exact same phrase about the deal is used by Forest in their official coverage of the deal – so it is a loan spell until the end of the year and it does not appear that there is a buy clause of any kind built in.
Hopefully when McCormack returns over the summer we’ll see the player we thought we were getting.
