Moroccan international Younes Belhanda has been linked to Villa before (see: Villa Bid For Moroccan International?) and now www.london24.com say that Montpellier president Louis Nicollin has said he WOULD be available for £10million.

Both Spurs and Arsenal are also said to be interested.

Clubcall say that Fulham are set to bid for Darren Bent who has been told he can leave. They mention a fee of around £6million which I`ve seen in other reports as well.

The Mirror meanwhile say that Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is still keen on singing Bent and that despite the club trying to move to younger targets with a sell on value, it looks like a £6million bid might be made.

Both links say that his £70k a week wages could be a stumbling block.

Eric Lichaj, now released by Villa, is being linked to Nottingham Forest. Good freebie that would be in my ever so humble, don`t think he`d let them down.

The Telegraph have a report saying Stephen Ireland has been told he can leave Aston Villa as he isn`t in the managers plans.

I think about 9 players have been told that at the end of the season to be honest.

Ireland has 12 months left on his current contract and the report says Villa will take a ‘significant loss` to offload the player (he cost around £8million as part of the Milner deal)

And of course, Given, Hutton and Bent are all free to look for new clubs as well and Dunne has gone already (well, when his contract ends).
