Right, what`s going on transfer wise then? What do you mean ‘not a lot` !

L’Equipe according to The Birmingham Mail have a report saying Jordan Amavi is keen to stay at Aston Villa until the summer, shunning a possible big move to China. He wants to help us gain promotion apparently. Xia said earlier in the transfer window that he`d rejected a £25million bid which one would assume could only have come from China as it is an inflated price compared to the rumours of French interest rating him around £10m at most. I`d take either amount if I`m honest! This report says Marseille are the latest interested.

The same report says the odds have been slashed for a Ross McCormack return to Fulham deal. Meh.

The Sun claim that Barnsley midfielder Conor Hourihane has his ‘heart set` on a move to Aston Villa. As we`ve discussed before the 25-year-old is a free agent come the summer so much like the report we looked at with Lansbury, he`s willing to sit it out and move in the summer on a free if he needs to.

Talking about Lansury, The Birmingham Mail say: Aston Villa are expected to confirm the signing of Henri Lansbury in the next 24 hours.

19-year-old Wolfsburg winger Anton Donkor has confirmed there has been interest from Aston Villa. Speaking to www.sportbuzzer.de he said: “Yes, my agent has had contact with Aston Villa. In order to further develop myself, a loan to England would surely be a good thing.’

The Bury Times , a regular read in the Fear household, say that Aston Villa lead the way in the race to sign 17-old-defender Jacob Bedeau.

So Boro would sell Jordan Rhodes, just not cheaply:

Aitor Karanka on Jordan Rhodes “If the right offer comes in and he wants to leave then for sure. “The club has received two offers but they weren`t enough, so he`s here and training really well.”
