Has the summer gone that quick? The players, and our new recruits, arrived at Bodymoor Heath today for the first pre season training session ahead of the new season.
As well as the old heads (?) from our last campaign, Jed steer, Leandro Bacuna, Alexsandar Tonev, Nicklas Helenius and Antonio Luna got their first taste of the Villa camp and their colleagues as we prepare to significantly improve on our offerings of last term.
The training pitches had another difference, it was the first time the players will have met new backroom staff Scott Marshall, Michael Watts and Chris Lorkin as well.

Ron Vlaar, Jores Okore, Andi Weimann, Christian Benteke and Brad Guzan were all absent after being given additional time off because of international commitments over the summer and they will return to training in due course.
