Norwich’s CEO David McNally has described Jed Steer as an ‘excellent young keeper with a bright future’ and even though he joined us as a free agent they are going to exercise their right to compensation because he is under 24 years of age. Well he would be, being only 20 wouldn’t he.
Anyway, speaking to Canaries.co.uk McNally said: Norwich To Steer Us To A Tribunal?

Paul Lambert has said that healthy competition for places next season will help push the squad on and help improve everybody to give stronger performances. Brad Guzan has said that last years baptism of fire for the team, will stand them in good stead for the coming campaign, and the players will show they have learnt from it. Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Guzan said that the strength of character the team had to show in the dark days of last season will leave them mentally right for next season and a lot of harsh lessons will have learnt – although he does praise the defence in front of him for not getting the credit they deserved at points last season. Jores Okore has said he can’t wait to make his bow at Villa Park and sample the experience of the fans in full voice. Chris Heath: On assessment from last season, the positions Villa need to strengthen the most are the following; the left back position and also the attacking midfield position, responsible for sitting in the hole behind the striker. I don’t think Antonio Luna is the player we need, first choice left back Joe Bennett got tormented by a journeymen away at Bradford in the Carling Cup last season (one of many occasions) and in my opinion we need someone with a bit more experience than Luna. However it looks apparent that Lambert will again gamble on the lack of Premiership experience. See: Paul Lambert’s Villa Revolution Pt 3
