Post Match Thoughts Of Chelsea Fan

Merlin from Vital Chelsea asked me some post match questions: Click Here so I decided to mirror his questions and get him to answer the same/similar!

1) What was it like to escape with a point by the skin of your teeth?

Not sure I’d agree there! One lucky break with Angel being wrestled to the ground by that hulk of a man called Makelele and you think you deserved the extra two points. Perhaps, the gods were looking after you seeing as that shot from Shaun Wright-Phillips somehow hit the underside of the bar and stayed out.

2) Who do you think was Villa’s best player?

Sorensen without a doubt, one world class save from Shevchenko in the second half convinced me it wasn’t going to be our day. Why doesn’t he make errors
against us like he does against other teams?

3) How do we always manage to score at Stamford Bridge when so many can’t and how many games had you gone winning before the draw against us?

Scoring against us in SW6? The lord only knows. If I recall rightly it was Luke Moore that scored the first goal against us last season thereby ending our miss-placed dreams of going the whole season without conceding a goal. Well you’ve got to have dreams haven’t you?

4) You honest opinion of ‘ref’ Graham Poll?

Graham Poll should have been cast aside after his gaff at the World Cup. He belongs to that select band of referee’s who believe they’re the attraction. Apart form that I believe he’s a Queens Park Rangers supporter – enough said!

5) Who do you think was your best player and would you swap any of yours for any of ours?

Gareth Barry didn’t quite get best player status but his versatility could serve him well at Chelsea, shame he just signed a new contract but at least it keeps out of the clutches of such nobodies as Sp*rs! Tell you what, we’ll swap him for Ashely Cole and then we can play Wayne Bridge at left back!

6) How do you see the season panning out for us and you?

For you! Go and push on and get European football. You’re a big club that has been sleeping for far too long. As for us, I’d love to be dancing around the streets of Athens knowing we’ve finally won the cup with the big ears. Keep your fingers crossed for us.
