Late fitness tests have been the order of the day ahead of our early kick off against Chelsea tomorrow.
Paul Lambert is hopeful that Matt Lowton will be recovered in time, but Karim El Ahmadi and Ciaran Clark have again been ruled out for this weekend.
Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer explained.
‘We have to see how Matty is today, Eric came in and did excellently, he did great. He hasn’t played in a right few months because of the form of Matty, he’s been exceptional. But Eric came in and did really well.’
Lambert says that Clarkie’s shoulder is now fine, but he took a kick on his foot in training and that’s still proving to be troublesome for him, and KEA remains injured with his thigh problem.
Other than that Lambert doesn’t have any additional team selection worries.
