Nigel Reo-Coker’s agent has stated that the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association has been courting the midfielder for the past 5 years.

Although agent, Tony Finnigan, has not spoken to Hokey about the latest attempt, he did comment that he would be perfect to drive the African team forward, but it would involve him giving up on his England dream.

‘Nothing would make him prouder than pulling on that England shirt,’ Finnigan told the Sunday Mercury.

‘But Sierra Leone is in his blood and only Reo-Coker can make that decision. In my opinion, it would be good for him.’

Hokey spent 6 years in the country, and it’s stated that his agent has 75% of their talent on his books so it’s understandable as to why he believes Nigel’s leadership credentials would give them the perfect boost ahead of the upcoming African Nations.

The question is ultimately does he genuinely believe he can find his form with us, or more likely another club and unseat the plethora of favoured midfielders in the England setup whilst running the risk of being only a fringe player, as opposed to an integral part of the Sierra Leone camp?
