Robinson Move Imminent

Reports in the London press tonight suggest that Spurs goalie Paul Robinson will be a Villa player within the next 48 hours.

It is being reported that Spurs have officially accepted a £5 million bid from us for the 28 year old former England goalkeeper.

With permission it is understood that Robinson held successful preliminary discussions with O’Neill earlier this week and received a guided tour of Bodymoor Heath.

No doubt Robinson would’ve been impressed with the managers plans for the club, and especially our investment in the training ground.

With the signing of Gomes, Spurs have paved the way for out of favour Robinson to leave, and it is believed only the small print formalities now stand in the way after a fee was agreed.

If the move comes off it is expected that Robinson will be on around £45,000 a week and would most likely be a 4 year contract.
