Munk AVFC
1 – How long have you been a Villa fan and how did you first get the Claret & Blue faith?
23 years since I was 5… I was toying with Everton as nobody in my family followed football until my sister started seeing a big Villa fan and I was sold to the claret and blue never to look back again….
2 – What was your first game?
11 MAY 1991 2-2 Against Chelsea 3 goals in the first 10 mins and then a Platty pen in the 2nd half! Was a bit shocked by all the early goals, I remember being so excited because I wasn’t allowed to go until I was 11 for some reason… I had to fight to see that one as I was still 2 weeks away from 11!
3 – What is your most memorable moment as a Villa fan?
Watching us beat Tranmere in the 2nd leg…beating the scum, getting the complete Mitre Copiers away kit including socks and new boots for my birthday…
4 – And the worst moment?
Without stating the obvious, I was gutted when Platt went to Bari, I was on holiday at the time and I remember being stunned….in hindsight I think he is a tit…
5 – Who are your favourite current Villa players?
I’ll say Barry, he hasn’t gone yet and as I’m a member of the fairy glen, I’ll stick to the belief of the on the pitch in the shirt motto…other than that Harewood for his no complaining get on with it and give his all, and Petrov for not giving up the ghost, if he plays like he did at the end of last season all season, I’ll be saying Barry who?
6 – Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?
McGrath, Bosnich, Platt up until he opened his gob, and Spinky and Sealey (RIP)…..can’t tell I used to be a goalie can you?
7 – Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?
Ian Ormondroyd – makes Crouch look like Pele…. DJDJ more recently, but I tend not to think of worst….they were in Claret and Blue so I’m biased to think they are all good…. apart from Penrice…I hated him lol
8 – What is the best goal you have seen Villa score and which is your favourite game?
Best Goal – Petrov’s….weaker foot, miles out, just added to a party day!
Favourite Game – The Tranmere 2nd leg…I did like the 2nd leg against Bolton, which I think we were 3-1 down after the first leg and were winning 2-1 and down to 10 men but my god it looked like we were out numbering them 2 to 1…and we should have had a penalty…remember being really happy with the effort the boys put in….
9 – Best away ground visited?
As its a choice of Goodison and Maine Road…..Goodison, been twice and the stick your operation up your arse still makes me chuckle.
10 – Who would you like to see Villa sign this summer?
All of us from Vital Villa….. we’d at least give our all…. lol
Riccardo Montolivo and Roman Pavlyuchenko spring to mind first for no reason…but I’d like Christian Zaccardo as a RB, Cudicini as a GK to teach a younger reserve like Wayne Hennessey or something… I’m not overly worried mind, as long as we get someone to help build and wants to play for us…non of these money grabbing gits….
11 – What are your predictions for us this season in the:
a) League In the Fairyland I’m going to say 4th or 5th
b) Europe Final – We play better against the better teams….(minus Manure…)
c) Carling Cup Probably first round we’re in, which will then spur on all other success…
d) Fa Cup Semis
12 – What is your opinion of Martin O’Neill?
He is no Paul McGrath, but lets look at the facts and you can see we are going in the right direction, I can see why some worry about his transfer policy but until we start doing badly I’m keeping stum, if we build and consolidate next year then we’ll be a much more attractive option to the bigger players without having to bribe the crap out of them with silly wages…
13 – What is your opinion of Randy Lerner and the new board?
USA!!!! Oh come on his name is Randy, you’ve got to love it, he isn’t being over powering, he has thought about the little things, and I frankly don’t believe that MON would be spouting I’ve got the money to spend if he didn’t, he pass the blame on…I know I would….
14 – Where do you sit at Villa and are you a season ticket holder?
Upper Holte when I make it now… started off as a kid in the Trinity…..will be going to more matches next season now I don’t get so rat arsed on a Friday night…
15 – And finally (stolen without shame from Vital Arsenal!) if you could invite 4 people connected to Villa, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be? And you can add one bit of top totty as well to make the party go with a ‘bang’ ;o)

Ron Atkinson 😀 I did so love the bloke and I’m fairly sure he put the youth system together that has helped, and will probably make up half the first team next year 😉
MON and the General, just to start a conversation about Transfers and have General tell MON off as he doesn’t deal with them….
MON :- So General, do you think we need a right back?
General :- Mr O’Neill I’ve told you all numerous times I do not deal with Transfers…
MON :- Well you can thank me about that, there are no transfers you to deal with…
General :- Oh you go on Vital and say that….and watch out for the one called Fear…
MON :- Ohhh he’s after me lucky charms……
Totti? oh Totty, as I’m not really bothered by looks I’ll go for Carol Vorderman…..she can help work out all the wage structures after Ron gives MON his 2 pences worth on who he should buy…..so expect Jari Litmanen as he is compulsory….dimebar…
