Soon to be out of contract Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy is on the lookout for a new employer and he wouldn’t mind a move to Aston Villa apparently.
The 30 year old becomes a free agent tomorrow when contracts come to an end and there has already been some speculation linking us with a move for him with ongoing doubts about Manchester United’s Sam Johnstone.
The former England stopper was interviewed by the Mirror and he certainly wasn’t against the idea of a B6 switch.
‘Well, it’s a massive club with a superb infrastructure. Everyone knows Villa should be in the Premier League and I would love to be a part of making that happen.’
Whether or not the speculation is true remains to be seen but with the transfer window officially opening on July 1, you would expect things to move up a notch with deals now.
