Sanchez To Head To Deportivo?

It was being reported yesterday that press in Spain have heavily linked Carlos Sanchez with a move to La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna over the summer.

With changes of manager’s, changes of formations and injuries of his own to contend with, the Colombian 30 year old 12 starts for the club this year, and only 18 appearances in total – his last coming against Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup win back in January.

The suggestion was that with Sanchez’s future definitely in doubt with impending relegation this summer, the natural desire to trim wages and his overall lack of game time since arriving in the summer of 2014 for reported £4.7million, a quick escape route will be offered for a cup down fee and they expect he would be up for a return to Spain.

He last played there for Elche before moving to us and since then has a total of 38 starts with 13 from the bench.

Not hard to believe that Sanchez would potentially be classed as a good £1million at best return in the next few months.

With only seven letters to his surname, he’s not that valuable when it comes to shirt revenues is he.

The original report that spanned all this isn’t worth yesterday’s chip paper – but a good case of putting 2+2 together in the search for a new rumour as undoubtedly Sanchez’s representatives (who won’t be in our playing squad) will be looking for options.
