Another pre season friendly, another draw, and this time Andi Weimann gets on the scoresheet.
Much like the first friendly we played where Nicklas Helenius came off the bench at half time to open his Villa account, Andi too came on in the second half to secure the draw for Villa following a tremendous throughball from Sammy Carruthers, which he collected, rounded the keeper and fired home.
Weimann could’ve won the game for us as well as the game closed out, but the first chance went straight at their keeper, and the second chance drew a fantastic save from their man between the sticks.
