Following on from the video clip yesterday talking about the possible appointment of Steven Gerrard for Aston Villa – and the news now is he has on a 3 1/2 year deal, there was more chat about what he could possibly bring to Villa and what Villa have to offer him.

As I say in the new clip, Gerrard has some good players at his disposal, now time for a manager to really play to their strengths. I use strikers as an example. The amount of good strikers we have bought, and then not got them the supply, over the years, is astonishing really.
Steven Gerrard is no mug, he’s played at the highest level and with the best. It isn’t a name I would have thought of, but it now one that intrigues me. I am sure we all hope for the best and wish him the very claret and blue best for his time here.
