The main thing of interest is that the players recognise how great the fans have been this season and what a role we all have to play during these tough times.

The Villa captain said:

“The fans have been brilliant and that is important for us.”

Adding, “They can see we are having a difficult time at the moment but on Saturday it is another game which starts at 0-0 and they can play their part. You can feel it and it is a great help. We need it and they can see that we need it. We will try to play the best we possibly can and have a good game.”

He is also right when he says that it makes it easier for fans to support when they can see the players putting in the effort.

“…..they have been yelling and screaming for us the whole time and it was great.”

On the Villa`s currently worrying position in the bottom three the central defender says they aren`t about to panic and there is a good spirit in the team.

“There is no reason for anyone to panic about things. Results will help and, of course, we want to start to get some points.”
