The Birmingham Mail are carrying a story about Barry Fry who last week wound things up before the FA Cup tie between Aston Villa and Peterborough slating our owner Tony Xia. At Villa Park he had a conversation with Steve Bruce, who put him right about a few things. Not sure it is £80million ‘in’ by the way. He bought us for around about that amount, but that isn’t an investment ‘in’ so to speak. ‘In’ would be him pumping his cash into a new stand, players etc. Think most of the funding (not totally checked to be fair) would be parachute money and player sales at the moment.

The video in this tweet says it all really. Great initiative and nice to see young Villa fan Moin Younis saying how much the recognition and awards have changed his life. As you`ll have no doubt read before from me, I love how the Aston Villa Foundation are building into something very worthy. I think they delivering something we can all be really proud of. My answer:

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has ruled out selling players this month to help strengthen the group or improve our position when it comes to Financial Fair Play. With Bruce already saying that we were unlikely to buy players this month, with him instead looking at loan options to bolster our promotion chances, he’s quoted by the Birmingham Mail as saying that unlike the summer, nobody will be sold purely for financial purposes.
