Just awful news. Big Cyrille Regis has passed at the age of 59. A true legend in the midlands, a ground-breaking player for many of that era and a sad loss to football. Manager Steve Bruce was full of praise for the Aston Villa players following victory over Nottingham Forest at the weekend, but one man in particular stood out for him. Heading to the City Ground to face off against Aitor Karanka’s new side, Villa took a one nil victory with Scott Hogan finding the net in the 18th minute and having kept a clean sheet, we took another valuable three points. Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has confirmed that Robert Snodgrass will stay with the club until the end of the season, inspite of reports suggesting David Moyes wants him back at West Ham United. Reports in Scotland have suggested that Moyes wants to reunite with 30 year old Snodgrass but it’s not going to happen. Having been let out on loan by former manager Slaven Bilic just six months after signing him from Hull City, Snoddy has 23 appearances to his name this season, scoring five times and creating seven assists. Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce was asked for an update on Jonathan Kodjia this weekend, and the answer is less than great. Our top scorer last season fractured his ankle twice in 2017, and his latest setback has left him sidelined once more. With some thoughts suggesting he could return to play a part at the very end of the campaign, when asked for an update on that front he said: Forget About Kodjia – Bruce
