Baros has said he will be fit to play for the Czech Republic in their World Cup qualifiers against Norway on November 12 and 16. He hasn’t featured for Villa since September 20.
Baros is also hoping to be in contention to play against his former club Liverpool on Saturday (5/11/05) saying: ‘If my Achilles’ tendon holds up, I would like to play from the start of the game.’
Hendrie has returned to fitness after a knee injury, which should give O’Leary a much needed boost for his midfield options following a horrendous start to the campaign with injuries to key players. The ‘midfielder’ ;-)) is hoping to be available for Saturday’s crunch game against Liverpool.
Delaney is calling for ‘character’ after our worst ever start to a Premiership campaign. Villa are currently two points off the bottom three with tough games against Liverpool, Newcastle, Bolton and Man Utd looming over the next two months. Not to mention the ‘six pointers’ against Sunderland and Everton.
O’Leary, not one to miss a chance of an excuse, said the takeover speculation had proved ‘unsettling’ but Delaney disagrees: ‘The takeover talk hasn’t affected us at all. We’ve got to concentrate on what’s happening on the pitch. If it does happen, then we want to try to stay in this division.’
Jlloyd has confirmed he can play for Trinidad and Tobago and says the reports that the club are trying to block him are untrue: ‘There is no truth whatsoever in the story that Aston Villa are preventing me from playing for my country. I spoke to our assistant manager Roy Aitken and he said the club had no problem with it, and were just waiting for official confirmation. He was all for it.’ Jlloyd who has played for England U21’s but is still available for selection for T&T said he still hasn’t made up his mind.
DOL acted angrily to his teams dire performance in the 3-1 loss to Man City: ‘From day one this season we have given away too many easy goals and made life very hard for ourselves, and that is why we are where we are in the league. We are gifting teams big advantages and we are not good enough to give them those advantages and have to start pulling it back.’

Whilst we are on the subject of our underfire boss, DOL has said he would be interested in the Republic of Ireland job, but only in the future when he has fulfilled his club management ambitions.
O’Leary wants Angel to get his buzz back. Or did he say bus back? To where I’m not sure. Is there a Number 11 to Columbia?! ‘I think he is maybe lacking a bit of confidence and the only way for forwards to get their confidence back is through scoring goals really. That’s what they live on. That’s what gives them that buzz.’
