As long as there are no unforeseen hiccups in the next 24 odd hours, Aston Villa will be back in Premier League action at 6pm tomorrow evening as we welcome high flyers Sheffield United to a not so packed Villa Park.
Following the suspension of the 2019/20 fixture lists, we’ve constantly been told that everyone wants football back, but whilst it will be a welcome distraction, I’m not so sure we are actually going to see the game we all love to hate, given all the fudges and rule changes, which mean our final games will play out with very little sporting integrity remaining.

One big debate ahead of the game is which side will head coach Dean Smith lead with.
The likes of Jack Grealish pick themselves for obvious reasons, but despite our summer spending we don’t have an awful lot of depth available, but in some ways the biggest selection headache for Smith is, who does he stick in goal?
Pepe Reina came in with much-vaunted experience and then dropped some absolute howlers, so will Orjan Nyland, who many believe was unfairly dropped despite the heavy defeat to Manchester City in January, come back in and get another shot.
