The Villans return to league action this weekend as the international break comes to an end and full focus is now on the run-in.
A few weeks ago we might have been thinking that we were heading for mid-table mediocrity but now there is a real chance that we could make the play-offs this season.
A big few weeks await, then, but regardless of what happens the summer is also set to be busy with players set to come and go.
And, that in mind, a decision may need to be made on Callum O’Hare and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy.
Both are out on loan at the moment to Carlisle and Cambridge respectively and it is probably the former that is doing the better right now.
He set two up at the weekend and, though RHM also scored at the weekend, he’s not managed to find it as easy.
Both have bright futures at the game, but we could see one stay at Villa and the other depart – it remains to be seen what Smith is thinking.
