Aston Villa’s Under 23 side lost out two nil in their most recent Premier League 2 encounter against Stoke City.

With most eyes on the first team last night, Kevin MacDonald’s charges headed to Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium to host the Potters but a goal in each half from Tyrese Campbell decided the three points.

Whilst the result didn’t give much cheer Villa did welcome back Khalid Abdo and Rory Hale who had spent some time on the sidelines, and Oscar Borg also made his first appearance of the season following his long term injury.
