Villa Bidding For Hammers Dean Ashton?

Has Villa boss Martin O’Neill taken leave of his senses? The man has gone shopping mad!!!!!!!!!

Villa today are being linked with West Ham and England striker Dean Ashton Reports, are claiming Villa have bid in the region of £12million for the 24-year-old forward.

Could be a great signing, he is young and still learning but with our supply I am sure he could improve on an already 1 goal in 3 games record.

The Daily Mirror say we’ll go for him after missing out on Blackburn’s Rogque Santa Cruz. Ashton would certainly fit in with the mainly young English players vibe at the club and who knows, this striker could grow into a real Alan Shearer type, he certainly has the physical presence and goal poaching ability.

Ashton has already got off to a flying start this year with goals in pre-season and a brace in the Hammers first game v Wigan.

Only stumbling block will be will West Ham really want to sell their star striker, especially when he signed a new contract only last May.
