Ahmed Elmohamady now has an outside chance of making Saturday’s Championship Play-Off Final against Fulham at Wembley Stadium.
💬👊 Steve Bruce on @Elmo27…

Having picked up a hamstring injury in the first leg semi-final tie against Middlesbrough, he missed the second leg with the same problem and it did appear that his chance of walking out at another Final and helping Steve Bruce to another winner’s medal were slim to none.
However, speaking to the Official Site this afternoon as build-up continues to the weekend’s all-important clash, Bruce confirmed that Elmo had taken part the last two days in group training, but he was obviously set for a late fitness test.
“The next 24-48 hours are crucial. He’s trained for the past two days. He could be in contention. We’ll make a decision on Friday.”
Despite Elmo being ahead of schedule on his hamstring, you wouldn’t have thought that Bruce would risk him if the medical staff don’t believe him to be at 100%. The game is too big to us for avoidable errors to be taken a chance on.
Elmo is our only concern as things stand and let’s hope his fitness proves better than the state of the ‘tag’.
@Elmo_27 He makes a massive difference . His industrious approach and great delivery is crucial. I hope he’s fit for the final. I like James Bree however he gave the ball away far too much against boro and his position.al play wasn’t great but that’s due to the lack of game time .
