Villa Man Reveals Who Has “Attributes Similar To” Himself In Current Lineup

|

On loan Bournemouth centre-half Tyrone Mings has had a massive impact at the club following his arrival back in the January transfer window on a loan spell, and he’s played a key role in our current six game winning streak as we got ourselves slightly unexpectedly back into the Play-Off race.

With the 26-year-old seriously impressing fans with his performances for us since his late arrival during the last window, and not least his attitude when dealing with the fans on social media, he’s already quickly become a fan favourite and the only disappointment most can pick out is we only have a matching fee clause on the deal, and not a straight buy clause.

Speaking to the Official Site in the most recent ‘one on one’ big interview feature, Mings spoke in glowing terms about how fellow loanee Kortney Hause had adjusted to life at Villa Park, and began seriously impressing the fans as well with his more recent showings now he’s better up to speed.

Mings felt there were strong similarities between them both when it came to their strengths and I imagine plenty will agree with him now we’re seeing better from the 23-year-old.

“I really enjoy playing with Kortney. I think he’s got attributes similar to myself. He’s technically very good. He’s very strong in the air. He’s very hard to beat. He’s very quick. Those make him perfect for modern-day football – and make him perfect to play anywhere across the backline. It’s no surprise he’s been used at full-back either because he can clearly play there, too. I think he’s excelling for us here.”

Whilst Mings will be most fans prime capture come the summer, if Hause keeps going on the curve he’s on, few will object if his deal quickly goes permanent at the end of the year.
