The club are actively looking to sign Robert Snodgrass on a second loan spell, according to the Birmingham Mail journalist Gregg Evans.
It was reported by the same journalist earlier in the week that the Hammers have yet to make a decision on the Scottish international’s future, and that remains the case.
Snoddy has impressed during West Ham’s pre-season, and despite the Premier League club’s heavy recruitment drive, it seems manager Manuel Pellegrini could decide to keep the 30-year-old this summer.
The Hammers are clearly overloaded with wingers with Michail Antonio and new signings Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko all preferring to play on the right-hand side.
It seems inevitable then that, despite impressing in pre-season, Snodgrass may have to leave for first-team football. Most Villa fans will be hoping he ends up back at the club come the end of transfer window.
Just a reminder – EFL clubs can sign players on loan up until August 31st, although permanent signings must be completed by August 9th.
