The club have made a contract offer to Strasbourg forward Stephane Bahoken, according to reports in France.

News outlet RMC Sport say both us and Barnsley have tabled proposals to the 25-year-old, but we will face stiff competition from the likes of Udinese, Levante and Espanyol. French teams Amiens, Angers and Montpellier are also said to be in the mix

The striker is out of contract in the summer following a four-year spell at Strasbourg. He has played in the third, second and first divisions in France for his current club, although he is not prolific in front of goal.

This season, he has scored just seven times in 25 Ligue One matches, although it must be said his team were battling relegation for most of the campaign.

His performances also attracted the interest of Cameroon, who gave him his first international cap against Kuwait in a 3-1 friendly win back in March.
