Not sure I can be bothered with rumours anymore, I want real arrival articles to write, especially with the Inter Toto game looming! Still, today is the day…!

So what have the papers in store for us today?

The Sun and the Daily Mail both report that West Ham goalkeeper Robert Green feels ‘completely under-valued’ and is now considering his future. Green has been linked to numerous clubs including Aston Villa. Seems a strange one this because he was their player of the season last year and yet the 28-year-old was rebuffed when he asked for a new contract or according to the Sun: he was stunned when officials told him to take a running jump without offering an explanation. Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Blackburn, Arsenal and Manchester City are all mentioned as potential suitors.

Naturally not a day goes by without mention of Gareth Barry and today is no exception. According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool are still wanting to sign Gareth Barry and will sell Andrei Voronin for around £3m to help towards the cost. He is apparently being chased by a German club.

The Guardian say that Barry met with Martin O’Neill yesterday, for the first time since his pretty foolish unauthorised interview in the News of the World and say the meeting was ‘cordial and positive’ according to his agent Alex Black.

The England midfielder met with both O’Neill and Villa director Paul Faulkner at Bodymoor Heath. One report says that clear the air talks were held and Barry repeated that he wanted to go to Liverpool. The Mirror say ‘O’Neill is ready to wash his hands of the star – and does not want his squad distracted by Barry’s return from a two-week ban. Liverpool are now poised to return with a fifth bid of £16million plus Irish full-back Steve Finnan.’
