JuanPabloAngel:

Not my cup of tea to be honest. He is what he is – unglamorous, roll-your-sleeves-up type of guy. Has a track record of getting teams up, but have a nasty suspicion we will be a bridge too far for him. At least he appreciates the job he has to do and the history of the club, the tremendous fanbase and they years of underachievement we`ve had to endure. I hope for all our sakes I am wrong, and that he can get the job done in the coming season.

Mike Field:

Gone up in my estimation since coming in, clearly relishing the chance of managing us, clearly getting the expectation that surrounds us and seems to really be proud he has this opportunity which is a pleasure to see – especially with his humour – given the melons we`ve had with soundbytes in recent years. I did however think we`d see more of a style of play come through in the second half of last campaign and a lot more dominant moments in matches. That`s the question mark now and with so many changes last season, not least the managerial switch, even if you give him all the leeway in the world – that doesn`t apply from July onwards.

I have doubts but I`m hoping he rams them back down my throat.

gmvillan:

100% think he is the best man for the job. It’s rare that I’ve ever been jealous of BCFC in my life, but I always felt he was/is a top manager. I think it is absolute nonsense that he gets criticism for his ‘style of play’ – he knows what it takes to win and was part of one of English football’s greatest ever teams (it hurts to say that!). As much as we would all love Villa to play ‘expansive, attacking football’ I can recall with great fondness how solid and well-organized we were under Ron Saunders and Graham Taylor and to a certain degree, Brian Little. Those were our best times with TROPHIES

McGrath4Pope:

I like him and think he is just what the club needs right now. No one has a better track record of getting teams out of this division (it was only a year ago he got Hull up!). However he is under real pressure this season, he will have a full pre-season and be allowed to bring in more players – he has to have us up in the promotion spots.

Col8:

Honestly the bloke deserves a medal for coming to Villa Park , I`m nearly 60 and even in the days of the Third Division I have never ever seen a Villa team with less going for it.

They say when you hit the bottom the only way is up, well when Reme Garde left I thought we had hit the absolute bottom. Roberto DM proved that the bottom was a little way further down. Bruce bless him joined with the first task to keep Villa in the Championship, gutted for him that the new year returned so little as I believe Bruce himself could see us in the play-offs.

His signings in the transfer window did not achieve the hopes and desires for the amount of cash spent. But he will take Villa up next season, his record of promotions from the Championship is great, promotions with both Hull City and Blues on a shoestring budget has to be admired.

Villan57:

I so want him to succeed, not been impressed with him so far . He should have at least made the play offs with the players we have if he’s anything of a motivator.

Deanovilla:

Like him. Still believe he’s the right choice. Sooner or later someone needs to be given time to turn us around, and I’m talking 4-5 years even if things aren’t going great. All the chopping and changing doesn’t do us any good at all.

Jury’s out for me, but even he knows he will be judged on what he does from now. Dr Tony won’t let things go on if Bruce doesn’t deliver results
