1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I’ve always been a villa fan since birth as my family have followed them and a few are still season ticket holders. However on 3rd May 1994 (aged 10) I went to watch my first Villa game against Man City. I sat in the Holte Lower and although we drew the game 1-1. I was hooked from that moment.

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Very excited with this choice. He seems to be very good at weeding out the trouble makers which is great as we all know we have a few of them. He also seems to know where the oppositions half is!

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

There was a best moment? In all seriousness I was keeping optimistic when Eck signed. But yikes as the season went on I found myself less and less interested in how villa were doing. Which is awful. I never want another season like that again.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

I still think Randy is an excellent owner. Look at the training facilities. He made a huge error with Eck. But he’s held his hands up. Realised he made a mistake and has now hired the fans choice of manager. Very pleased.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

I still rate Scott Dann and think we need a new centre back. A new winger would be nice, but my knowledge in that market is limited at best. Lambert seems to know the lower leagues well so I’m hoping for a few gems. It looks like we may get Holt, but I really don’t know about him. All in all (assuming we ship out more deadwood) we need: Backup keeper, centre back x 2, Centre midfield, winger and a striker

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Albrighton, Dunne, Collins, Gabby, Bannan, Delph. I think all those listed have had a fair shot at villa. But now its time to cash in and replace. I do love Gabby to pieces, but think he’s had his day. As for Delph he’s more injury prone than Mr Bump. Bannan and Alby would make good Championship players. Dunne and Collins need to shift their arses out of my club. Players like Makoun could really flourish under Lambert, so I’d like to keep them. In my opinion Ireland is now in last chance saloon.

7) Favourite current player?

Petrov.

8) Favourite all time player/s?

Yorke, Saunders, Spink, Southgate, Der Hammer, Laursen, Milner, Carew (more for the song) and Melberg. All in no particular order of course!

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?

Premier: 10th
FA Cup: 4th round
Carling: Semi final

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

What is your thoughts about villa in terms of success? We are a sleeping giant. Fantastic fan base, great stadium and world class facilities. We just need a bit of luck, the right guys in charge and I believe we’ll see the glory days back at Villa again.
