1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?
As a kid in the 80s I was taken to most of the midlands clubs to watch football by my dad (who hasn`t got a club). I loved Villas atmosphere, smell, stadium, kit. Villa 1 Liverpool 2 clinched it – I can still see the goals even though we lost. My brother became a Liverpool fan.
2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?
We need an intelligent football manager who can motivate lower cost players and strategise to get them performing as the most effective team. I think he can do it. Few could.
3) Best and worst moments of last season?
That feeling of being disconnected from my club. If it wasn`t for that deep loyalty I could have walked away.
Best moment. The quick sacking at the end of the season
4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?
He started at villa before Man City`s money came on the scene. It`s now a different world and spending big no longer works for clubs like ours. I admire him for having the balls to change direction in the face of a wall of objections. I thought people originally liked his reserved style. I`m sure McLeish haunts him. We all think we can do better than the boss until we become one don`t we!
5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?
We need quality oldies for a year or two to bring experience to the youth that we are giving their second season to. A playmaker is key. I don`t know who.
6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?
HUTTON HUTTON HUTTON. He gets turned and pushed out of position leaving gaping gaps and pulling others into the mess. Even I can see it.
7) Favourite current player?
Clark. It had to be one of the amazing crop of young players. They are the future
8) Favourite all time player/s?
Laursen. So composed and committed. A joy to watch. We were so lucky to have him albeit briefly.
9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?
Would be happy with top half of the table for the first year of the new regime.
We don`t have a big enough squad to care about the cups.
10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?
Q. Is there a need for a football player to care about the club or just be a pro?
A. I Wish it mattered but we can`t afford to hope for it. We just need to buy players who are desperate to win.

i) Best ever moment in your life: I try to have best moments as often as possible. I`ve just taken my boy up Snowdon for the first time – that was a best moment.
