1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I was born in Birmingham to Irish parents, we moved back here in 1979. Always been a sports fan and a Villan

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Finally, Randy Lerner seems to have picked a manager to take the club forward, a man who can change tactics, motivate players and who was a winner for all of his playing career. Since his appointment, he has made a lot of positive noises about the future, which I`m sure will auger well if he can translate the positivity to the pitch. We must give him a chance and be patient, but he seems to be a great appointment and one which I am delighted about. He will not suffer sulky, overpaid fools gladly, and will expect his players to give their all for the shirt, which is exactly what we, the fans, want to see.

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Worst Villa moment off the field: Hearing about Stan Petrov. Such adversity puts everything else in to perspective. I wish the skipper well in his recovery. Worst Villa Moment on the pitch: the loss at home to Bolton after which I was sure we were in big trouble. Best moments: Winning at Chelsea (I still scratch my head and wonder how that happened), and Andi Weimann`s goal against Stoke

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

I think Randy Lerner is one of the good guys. He inherited MON from old Deadly and tried to back him, but wouldn`t allow the club to spiral in to debt. He would have seen from his banking business that the tide was turning in the global financial markets and possibly refused to overspend while chasing dreams of Champions League football. Wages were too high versus revenue and he decided to bring things back on track rather than have Villa do a Portsmouth or Leeds. His big error was in his choice of a very conservative manager to try and achieve success on a shoestring having seen MON go bananas with big contracts for average players and the Houllier experiment so nearly work well. I still believe that could have been good if ill health hadn`t got in the way. Randy can`t be blamed for that, or for the timing of MON`s departure. I do believe he takes the fan`s opinions seriously and has the best interests of the club at heart. Business wise, Faulkner seems to be doing a good job, great sponsorship deal with Genting, exciting and lucrative contract with Macron. A cup is not beyond the realms of possibility, and would go some way towards easing the hurt caused last season.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

Well, now………Iniesta, Xavi, Mario Gomez………O.K, realistically, we need a number 2 keeper who is capable of being a number 1 in the not too distant future. I am a huge fan of Shay Given but injuries are taking their toll on Donegal`s finest. Wayne Hennessy from Wolves ticks the boxes, young, good quality, international experience, re-sale possibilities. Otherwise I will put a few names out there: Victor Moses, Jordan Rhodes, Micah Richards, Daniel Sturridge, Scott Dann, Matt Jarvis

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Mutton, Collins, Delph

7) Favourite current player?

Shay Given. Gentleman, great pro, gives everything, every game, fantastic shot stopper, the main reason we are still in the Premier League, the only thing that the previous manager got right. Stan Petrov. Inspirational leader, brave beyond words. Chris Herd. Fighter

8) Favourite all time player/s?

So many to mention: Graydon, Spink, Schmeichel, Gray, Mortimer, Shaw, Little, Cowans, Mc Grath, Yorke, Atkinson, Townsend, Mellberg, Laursen, Angel, Petrov, Given, Mc Inally, Nicholl

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?

Premier 7th to 11th
FA Cup: Would love us to WIN IT!!!
Carling: Last 8

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Q: Which trophys would you most like to see Villa win and why?
Ans: The F.A Cup or the Europa League, the only major trophies I have yet to see lifted by a Villa captain in my lifetime.
