1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?
I became a Villa fan from the age of about 5 simply from watching them play on TV. As I was born in Aldershot I’m not a local fan. My dad, brother, granddad etc are all Man Utd.
2) What is your favourite Villa moment of all time/most treasured memory?
Saunders Penalty in the 94 league cup final. I was only 7 watching it with my dad. Fantastic watching Kanchelskis walk off after the red card and Deano bury it!!
3) If you could bring back a former Villa player into this team (at his peak) who would it be and why?
For me it would have to be Ian Taylor. We are crying for some goals from midfield and he`s the man!
4) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?
I was surprised with the fans singing for him at Norwich at the end of the 2011/12 season but I think he has been a good choice. I was a bit sceptical as he wasn`t all that at Wycombe and Livingston but based on his Norwich and Colchester credentials I have been behind him from the start and will remain so.
5) Best and worst moments of last season?
Best moment has to be Sunderland at home. What a game. I was so nervous beforehand as they were rejuvenated (apparently). Worst – Chelsea away – goes without saying really.
6) Some say last season was a success, others not so much. What is your opinion?
I think to some extent it was a success. We improved in all aspects, not just on the field but off as well. I still think there`s more to come though.
7) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board?
I try not to be too critical about Randy. They have made some poor decisions (McLeish/Houllier/Harewood) but the days under MON were some of my favourite as a fan. Playing teams in the Premier league and scoring 3/4/5 goals against and playing some decent football.
8) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?
Personally I`d love to see Lambert continue his policy of young hungry players. Ideally I`d like to see Tom Lees (Leeds,Defender), Jacob Mellis (Attacking Midfielder, Barnsley) and a few young exciting players from Europe.
9) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?
I think it`s clear to most fans who needs to go. Given, Dunne, Hutton, Makoun, Bent, Ireland, N`Zogbia and Bannan.
10) Favourite current player?
Tough choice between Gabby and Benteke. Gabby loves the club and the club loves him but Benteke is something special. I will have to go for Benteke.
11) Who was your first footballing hero and who are your favourite all time player/s?
My first footballing hero was Dean Saunders. As I got older I loved Dwight Yorke but he soiled that by playing for Birmingham. My all-time favourite player is Ronaldo (Brazilian one). Just the most complete striker I ever seen. He had it all.
12) What do you expect us to do/finish this season?
I expect top half finish, better attendances and some sort of cup run.
