Vital Villa Summer Interview: Oscararc

Oscararc steps up for the Vital Villa members interviews.

Q: When did you become a Villa fan and why?

In 1957/58 My dad used to carry me over the turnstiles so that he wouldn’t have to pay for me.

Q: The season just gone, good bad or ugly? What did you think of it?

Good with the squad we have, I suppose I have the same questions as everyone else about non rotation, people playing out of position etc and how good it could have been

Q: Best and worst moment of last season?

Best -getting to Wembley
Worst Chelsea away (embarrassing)

Q: James Milner… is he off do you think? If so, what price (realistically) should Villa hold out for? If off to Man City, which – if any – of their players would you want in exchange?

Maybe not, he could just be positioning himself for a pay rise. At Villa he is the main man. But elsewhere as Dunne says he could sit out half the season on the bench. Pricewise I would look for 35 million as we don’t want to sell him. From Man city I would want Bellamy, Johnson and Hart. Ireland is just a Cork scumbag. Anyone who will not play for his country will only let you down eventually.

Q: What signings (type of player or specific name/s if you wish) would you like to see Villa buy this summer?

Two strikers A target man if Carew leaves, Zamora has improved greatly this year, and a put the ball in the net with your backside merchant. If he can teach Gabby how to have a better first touch ,so much the better. Wagner Love comes to mind also. New right full to give Cuellar a break (rotation).Scott Parker would be nice too.

Q: Where do you stand on Martin O’Neill (I don’t mean literally, that would be assault) ?

Like everyone else I have a problem with his lack of rotation and his play my favorites policy. He doesn’t understand what plan B is for but to be fair he has been getting away with it for most of the season.

Q: Your opinion of Randy and the board?

Don’t know him personally but the club has improved in leaps and bounds.

Q: Favourite current player and favourite all time player/s

Favorite current player is Dunner, all time (have you got an hour) Gerry Hitchens, Vic Crowe, Charlie Aitken, Peter Withe, Gareth Barry,Gordon Cowan, Nigel Spink ( for that one match alone) John Sleuwenhook ( cant spell it but we called him Tulip), Luke Nilis and of course, for personal reasons, Mr (God) McGrath.

Q: Do you expect progress next season, difficult to answer before the transfer window closes I know?

Can’t see it unless the rotation policy changes.

Q: Right, lets lower the tone… which celebrity would you most like to bang and which (male I would think) celeb would you most like to thump!?!

Michelle Phiffer and John Terry.
