Vital Villa Summer Interview: Trekker

Trekker steps up for the Vital Villa members interviews.

Q: When did you become a Villa fan and why?

Born and bred, dad was born 400 yards from Villa Park, so no way it was going any other way!

Q: The season just gone, good bad or ugly? What did you think of it?

Bits of all 3, some bloody awful performances particularly at home, some very good and then there was Wigan at home.

Q: Best and worst moment of last season?

Worst, Wigan at home is one of the worst performances I have seen, ever.
I loved beating Small Heath and all their bleating.

Q: James Milner… is he off do you think? If so, what price (realistically) should Villa hold out for? If off to Man City, which – if any – of their players would you want in exchange?

Yes he will go, and yes life will go on , seen it before will see it again (I’m old enough to have been devastated when Bruce Rioch left!-ask your dads.)
I have no idea about price, or who to have in return but consensus says Ireland so I will go with that

Q: What signings (type of player or specific name/s if you wish) would you like to see Villa buy this summer?

I would like people who can control a ball and use both feet and their head, so I’m suppose I’m just being silly.

Q: Where do you stand on Martin O’Neill (I don’t mean literally, that would be assault) ?

Drives me mad, stubborn bugger, I think he cuts off his nose to spite his face. I believe you can support he team and still be critical of certain aspects, doesn’t mean you want them to fail.

Q: Your opinion of Randy and the board?

No complaints at all. In fact very proud we have them

Q: Favourite current player and favourite all time player/s

Current player is not easy, I tend to like a few but no one actually stand out.
All time is easy Sir Brian Little, he who walks on water.

Q: Do you expect progress next season, difficult to answer before the transfer window closes I know?

The reality is that the Holy Grail of the top four is just that, a mythical quest. No one is going to get above Chelsea and Man U for the foreseeable future, Man Cities wealth makes them favourites to break into the 4th place Champions League qualifying round, I would actually rather win the FA Cup

Q: Right, lets lower the tone… which celebrity would you most like to bang and which (male I would think) celeb would you most like to thump!?!

Thump List
Not exclusive
Andy Murray
Piers Morgan
David Gold
Alistair Campbell
Maradonna
Ronaldo
