Ron Vlaar has admitted he is somewhat relieved that we picked up all three points today, as West Ham certainly threw everything at us.
Speaking to the Official Site following the 2-1 win, our centre half said you could feel the relief at full time:
‘Last week we didn’t play that bad but we didn’t get the result, so this brings a lot of confidence. You could feel the relief, with the fans as well. We worked hard, scored two good goals and then we were unlucky with the goal we conceded.It was very hard to keep in front, but we did very well.’
Vlaar also says we got a it of luck today, and luck has been somewhat over due this season, but overall we got the result that he thinks we deserved, and moving out of the bottom three again is certainly a welcome sight.
